New Version of Kaxaml with Support for Silverlight 2 RTW
File this one under “it took you long enough.” I’m (reluctantly) proud to announce that I finally posted a new version of Kaxaml that support the shipping version of Silverlight 2. To create a Silverlight tab, either choose “New Silverlight Tab” from the file menu or hit Ctrl+L on your keyboard. You can tell if you’re looking at a Silverlight tab because it will have a blue dot (instead of the orange one on a WPF tab).
It’s still a beta and the beta-y thing about it are:
1. There is no way to load an image, font or any other resource into the Silverlight page. I’ve got some ideas for working around this, but haven’t had time to try it out yet.
2. There are still a handful of bugs (thanks to those of you who have sent them!) that have gone unresolved. So far, nothing egregious but you may run into a handful of things that don’t work as expected.
Happy XAML’ing. Get the new version here.

Robby – Did you add a scrollbar option to the preview area? (as an alternative to the “drag into view” method). I’m using a tweaked (old) version of Kaxaml because I really need the scrollbar. I’d definitely upgrade if I knew the latest would let me scroll!
FYI I’m not just being difficult… I use Kaxaml a whole lot for website skinning, and the scrollbars make things MUCH faster
Thanks!

There is intellisense for the WPF-XAML (root element Page) but not for the Silverlight-XAML (root elements Grid or Canvas). Is this a bug?

Ok, its possible when using Ctrl-L for a new Silverlight tab and Ctrl-T for a new WPF tab and switching back to the Silverlight tab.

Great application. Can you provide more details on the roadmap? When will it be updated to 3.5 SP1?
I saw your video on Channel 9 and you said you would move the source to your side from CodePlex. Any updates on this?
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Callon

Great Tool!
It would be better to add more than one level to the snippets structure. And the beta disappears if i try to open a xaml from a “WPF Unleashed” book:

I have just installed Kaxaml v1.7b. Very nice tool. Thanks.
Have you got any wishlist page?
Just a small suggestion, not sure if it is easy to implement..It would be handy if there is an option where the Color Picker could pick up any color shown on the screen i.e. you design a new layout and you need to pick up quickly colors from the existing website..
Anyway, well done!
