I’m about to port a .NET Forms 2.0 app to WPF – it looks like Kaxaml will really help.

Also, the visual appeal of Kaxaml provides an added incentive to move to WPF as soon as poss.

What we’re looking for is a solid WPF developer to help develop graphic intensive UIs for a travel booking site and also for a digital download service. I could bore you with intangible, touchy-feely descriptors like “Must have outstanding attention to detail” but instead I’ll just give you the shortlist of absolute, no compromise, MUST have skills:

1) WPF expert. Not “familiar with” or self-taught, but an actual expert. This will immediately thin the herd of candidates in a major way!
2) Experience with front-end development of graphics intensive UIs.

Beyond that everything else is icing on the cake. Very, very few people outside of Microsoft have listed WPF on their resume. Instead we are looking for Expression, Blend, and Silverlight and looking for people who might have worked at MS on those teams or contracted at MS. If they worked as a developer (not a designer) and have experience with Expression/Blend/Silverlight then they probably know WPF.

$90-$100/hr pay rate.

This is a really tough job to fill. We do need the person to be on-site and the project will run through April, possibly longer.

We also pay referral bonuses and give out gift certificates to restaurants in downtown Seattle to those that refer the individual that is placed!

I had a look at the Kaxam code because I wanted to find out how you had created the cool black layout. Judging from the comments, you used your Simple Styles tool. I downloaded that tool, but I can’t get it to compile – my layman’s guess is that it’s due to simple styles targeting the feb 2006 ctp of .NET 3.0 and me using .NET 3.5 RTM.

Do you have an updated version of simple styles? Maybe you could post that one codeplex too. Thank you!

For some reason the source file zip seems to have folders and files with the same name. Not sure what the deal is with that, but easy to get around.
